Curly, Wavy, Kinky – Big hair, big dreams

The cross of those born with them, the dream of those with very smooth hair. We all agree: curls are beautiful. And now fashion is also clear: whether they are natural or made ad hoc, light waves or very tight afro spirals, 2020 is the year of curls.

On the other hand, thanks to their multiple variations, curls are able to adapt to any type of face shape and physicality. They manage to soften the features of the hardest and most angular faces, they give volume to the elongated faces and always give a fresh, jaunty and, why not, sophisticatedly wild look, able to enhance the femininity and sensuality of every woman.

How should they be managed? How difficult is it to take care of curly hair?

It is actually much simpler than you can imagine. An example? The first rule is: always comb your hair in the shower with a wide-toothed comb, sliding from the tips to the root. To this are added other small tricks, such as drying them with the diffuser without ever touching them with your fingers, or drying them with the Plopping technique, i.e. wrapping the hair in an old t-shirt and letting it dry on its own without using heat sources.

And once dry? To maintain the perfect wave even at night, you need to have silk pillowcases (cotton increases frizz on dry hair) and an elastic band to collect the hair in a bun on top of your head (the so-called “pineapple method”).

But what is really essential for perfect curls is hydration and nourishment. Curly hair is hair that needs specific treatments that contrast humidity and stress. A scrupulous hair routine at home is important, but it is crucial to turn to professionals who are able to take care of your curls and use useful techniques and products to give maximum definition to the hair without damaging it.
